Watch the 9-minute video, download free mock questions, and follow a three-step strategy to use mock questions effectively.

Why you shouldn’t memorise mock questions

The biggest problem we see from trainee FITPROs is that they revise using mock questions by attempting to memorize each question and correct answer, hoping it will appear on the real exam day

Unfortunately, that doesn’t work

Your mock questions won’t be the same as your real exam. Granted they will cover the same subject, topics and have similar wording. However, they will never be identical.

So trying to memorize each question is a futile effort, which actually leads to more distractions on exam day. You run the risk of misreading an exam question and assuming it is the same as the one in your mock practice paper. This can lead you to put the wrong answer entirely… even if you know the content really well.

3 Steps To using your Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Mock Questions

Instead of memorizing mock questions, you can use them to help test your exam readiness

This 3 steps strategy will help you use your Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Mock Questions to pass with confidence

Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Mock Questions

1. The 3 Cs

Cool – Calm – Collected.

You should use your mock questions as a chance to practice your “exam day calm”.

When you practice your mock questions, set yourself up in exam conditions, without your manual or notes.

Then take a deep breath and allow yourself to relax before you start. Find out what makes you feel relaxed before the exam, it may be a cup of coffee or setting up your workstation in an organised way.

Do all you can to fully relax before you start your mock exam

2. Decide Quickly

During your exam, there will be some questions that you like and feel comfortable answering,

and some questions that you don’t really like, or that appear to be difficult.

You will be able to “flag” complex questions and come back to them later.

This is a really good tactic to use.

However, you must make sure you decide quickly whether you “like” the question and will answer it straight away now, or whether you “dislike” the question and would rather come back to it later.

The Sunk Cost Fallacy states that when you invest time into a particular task, it makes it much harder to walk away from without completion.

This applies to your exam question. Once you re-read the question a few times and look through the answers, and start working it out… you are fully invested

This time investment means that you end up “sticking it out” until it is answered…

Which can cause anxiety, overwhelm and waste precious exam time.

Instead, DECIDE QUICKLY whether you will answer that question now or later. This will save you time and keep you relaxed on exam day

3. Timeframe

The time restrictions of an exam can add additional pressure, affecting how you answer the questions.

Therefore you want to practice your Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Mock Questions with the same timeframe as your real exam.

For example, if your exam has 50 questions to answer in 50 minutes….

you have 1 minute per question.

So when you sit our 48 mock questions download, allow yourself the same timeframe … 1 minute per question = 48 minutes.

This means you can become familiar with how long you have per question and become familiar with the pressure associated with the exam timeframe.

let’s take a look at today’s Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology Mock Question to dissect.

Use these three steps as you practice on the following mock question:

Did you take a breathe, and remain cool calm, and collected,

Did you decide early on if you want to answer it now, or come back to it later,

and Did you try to answer it within the timeframe restrictions of your exam

The answer to today’s mock question is C) Pericardium
