5 Steps to regain your Fitness Learning Mojo
1. Add rather than eliminate
Although study and revision “takes time”, it is really important that you ADD this to your day, rather than eliminating the things in your day that make you happy or serve you.
So, don’t go removing your workout, or time with the kids. Instead, find ways that you can ADD more of the things that make you feel great. This will help counteract any study stress.
2. Talk about it
“Many hands make light work” – and the same applies to thoughts of worry and stress. The more that you share these negative thoughts about losing your fitness learning mojo, the easier it will be to overcome.
Speak to a friend, a colleague, and a family member or even a fellow learner inside our Inner Circle FB group. Tell them that you’ve lost your learning mojo, and start putting a plan together to get it back 🙂
3. Daily Mindfulness
Take time each day to switch off from your phone and life-stresses. This could be doing anything that makes you happy and is relaxing.
For me, it is a surf session, a walk in the rain, or to sit and look at the sea. Other peeps may choose to meditate or go to Yoga class.
4. Get a Coach or Mentor
A coach or a mentor can be anyone that is committed to holding you accountable. This could be a service you pay for with a coach, or it could be a friend or family member.
The most important thing is that they don’t accept any BS. It is important that they hold you accountable to do the things you said you would do, and show up to each meeting/ session with RESULTS rather than a list of REASONS as to why you didn’t do it.
Who will your coach be?
5. Set clear Goals
One of the most powerful things you can do RIGHT NOW is to set a deadline to complete a “chunk” of your fitness learning.
This might be booking your exam, or giving yourself a timeframe to complete a worksheet.
Make sure you have achievable and realistic timeframes, so it is short enough that it gets a rocket up your bum, but long enough that you can make real progress
